Prelude

Welcome and Announcements

Sharing Our Joys and Concerns

* Call to Worship    adapted from Psalm 19   (Read responsively)

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul;

The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;

The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;

The rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether.

More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold;

Sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.

Moreover, by them is Your servant warned;

In keeping them there is great reward.

* Affirmation of Faith        “The Apostle’s Creed”

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  AMEN.

Admitting Our Sin to God

Have mercy upon us, O God, according to Your lovingkindness. According to the multitude of Your tender mercies blot out our transgressions. Wash us thoroughly from our iniquities, and cleanse us from our sin. For we acknowledge our transgression; and our sin is ever before us. Create in us clean hearts, O God; and renew a right spirit within us. Cast us not away from Your presence; and take not Your Holy Spirit from us. For the sake of Christ the Lord.  (silent, personal confession)  AMEN

Today - We will celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. In the Presbyterian Church (USA), all who sincerely trust in Jesus Christ and Him alone for the forgiveness of sin are invited to the Lord’s table, including baptized children with parental permission.
