Sharing Our Joys and Concerns

* Call to Worship       taken from Psalm 96      (responsively)

Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!

Sing to the Lord, bless His name; tell of His salvation from day to day.

Declare His glory among the nations,

His marvelous works among all the peoples!

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.

For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the Lord made the heavens.

Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

LET US WORSHIP GOD!!

* Affirmation of Faith        The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic* church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  AMEN.                                           *universal

Admitting Our Sin to God

Pardon us, O God, for ignoring Your will as revealed by Your Son and urged upon us by Your Holy Spirit. Forgive us for following the desires of our own hearts and attempting to block out Your voice. Be merciful to us where we stood in the way of the advance of Your Kingdom on earth. Father, forgive us, restore us, spur us to fresh obedience for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. (time of silent, personal confession)      AMEN
