Sharing Our Joys and Concerns

* Call to Worship    adapted from Psalm 104   (Read responsively)

O Lord, how manifold are Your works!

In wisdom have You made them all; the earth is full of Your creatures.

Here is the sea, great and wide, which teems with creatures innumerable,

living things both small and great.

There go the ships, and Leviathan, which You formed to play in it.

These all look to You, to give them their food in due season.

When You open Your hand and give it to them, they gather it up and are filled with good things.

When You hide Your face, they are dismayed.

When You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.

* Affirmation of Faith        “The Apostle’s Creed”

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  AMEN.

God is real, God is present, and we hope you sense and experience the grandeur of God today in this morning’s worship. Please remember to sign the blue attendance pad.

LITURGISTS NEEDED Be the first to volunteer for July! Please use the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the hall by the water fountain.

FLOWERS – If you would like to sponsor flowers for the chancel in loving memory or in honor of a loved one or of a special occasion, there is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board by the drinking fountain in the Narthex. Cost: $24/Sunday.

PLEASE PRAY World Christian Concern has developed a 30 day guide for Christians to pray for Muslims during Ramadan, which will be June 28 – July 27. Complimentary copies of this prayer guide are available on the table in the narthex. Despite the publicity the violent jihadists receive, the Holy Spirit is quietly and powerfully at work among Muslim peoples. Let us pray for His work.

Our worship should not be confined to times and places; it should be the spirit of our lives.
