* Affirmation of Faith        The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  AMEN.

Invitation to Confession

Admitting Our Sin to God

O God in Heaven, have mercy upon us and forgive us for we have put other persons or things before You. We have followed our own hearts instead Your commands. We have taken what is not ours. We have not always told the truth. We have chosen anger rather than love. We have put ourselves ahead of others who are more worthy and deserving. We have betrayed, denied, and forsaken the Lord Who has redeemed us. But You, O God, know all of this better than we know our-selves. We confess it all in the name of Jesus, and pray for You to find us where we are, remake and restore us for the sake of His work on the cross.  (silent, personal confession)  AMEN

The Sacrament of the Lords Supper

The Lord be with you. And also with you.

Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

It is right to give our thanks and praise.

. . .

. . . and lift our voices in joyful praise: The people sing or say: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

. . .

. . . and give You glory through Your son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ, in unity with the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor are Yours, almighty God, forever and ever.   Amen.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:  For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.  AMEN.

The idea of strangeness in our trials

must be banished at once and forever,

for He Who is the Head of all saints, knows by experience the grief which

we think so peculiar.       C. H. Spurgeon

WELCOME GUESTS!  We are glad the LORD has led you to worship with us this morning. Please remember to sign the attendance pad and to join us in the Fellowship Hall for coffee and light refreshments following the service today.
