* Call to Worship               (responsively)

The LORD says: “I have called you in righteousness;

I have taken you by the hand and kept you.

I have given you as a covenant to the people, a light to the nations and My glory I give to no other.”

Sing to the Lord; sing God’s praises to the end of the earth!

LET US WORSHIP GOD!!

* Affirmation of Faith        The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic* church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  AMEN.                                           *universal

* Prayer of Invocation

* Hymn of Adoration                       Ye Servants of God               Red Book  # 38

Invitation to Confession

Admitting Our Sin to God

God of all, we know if it were not for the fact of human sin You would not have had to send Your Son to redeem us. We admit we have sinned in countless ways both knowingly and unknowingly, and our hearts and consciences have become hardened. Forgive us, O Father, revive us and make us again sensitive to the demands of righteousness. We cry to You in the name of our crucified and risen Saviour, Jesus Christ.  (time of silent, personal confession)      AMEN

Assurance of Pardon

Leader  . . . Friends, believe the Good News of the Gospel!

ALL:           In Jesus Christ we are forgiven

* Responding with Praise                     Gloria Patri                    Blue Book # 579

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning; is now and ever shall be. World without end, Amen! Amen!

Time with Young Disciples

Prayers of the People and the Lords Prayer

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:  For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.  AMEN.

Today’s Participants

Liturgist:  Elder Peter Pfefferkorn

Fellowship Hostess: Mun Sparks

WHETHER you’re investigating the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ, looking for a church home, or have been with us for a long time – welcome! God is real, God is present, and we hope you sense and experience the grandeur of God today in this morning’s worship. Please sign the blue attendance pad and join us in the Fellowship Hall for coffee and light refreshments following the worship service.

FLOWERS – If you would like to sponsor flowers for the chancel in loving memory or honor of a loved one or in honor of a special occasion, there is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board by the drinking fountain in the Narthex. Cost: $24/Sunday.

BUILDING MAINTENANCE FUND – Last year the Session established a Building Maintenance Fund to make payment of large repair bills easier. A hearty thanks to all who have contributed to this fund. It is deeply appreciated. The Building Maintenance Fund  along with our monthly cash flow has made the payment of the parking lot repair and seal coating possible without drawing upon other reserves. Now the fund is almost depleted. As the Lord leads, please consider contributing to this fund so we can be prepared for future significant repairs.

LITURGISTS NEEDED – Please use the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the hall by the water fountain to volunteer for one or more weeks. See sheet for details.

USHERS NEEDED – Please use the sign-up sheet on the table in the narthex to volunteer for one or more weeks. See sheet for details.
