Sharing Our Joys and Concerns

* Call to Worship  adapted from Psalm 50   (responsively)

The Mighty One, God the Lord, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.

Our God comes; He does not keep silence;

before Him is a devouring fire, around Him a mighty tempest.

He calls to the heavens above and to the earth, that He may judge His people, saying:

"Gather to Me my faithful ones, who made a covenant with Me by sacrifice!"

The heavens declare His righteousness,

for God Himself is judge!

LET US WORSHIP GOD!!

* Affirmation of Faith        The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  AMEN.

Admitting Our Sin to God

Almighty God: You love us, but we have not loved You; You call, but we have not listened. We walk away from neighbors in need, wrapped up in our own concerns. We have gone along with prejudice, warfare, and greed. God our Father, help us to face up to ourselves, so that, as You move toward us in mercy, we may repent, turn to You, and receive forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord  (silent, personal confession)  AMEN

The Sacrament of the Lords Supper

The Lord be with you. And also with you.

Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

It is right to give our thanks and praise.

. . .

. . . and lift our voices in joyful praise: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

. . .

. . . and give You glory through Your son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ, in unity with the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor are Yours, almighty God, forever and ever.   Amen.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:  For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.  AMEN.
