Welcome and Announcements

Sharing Our Joys and Concerns

* Call to Worship        (adapted from Psalm 84)

* Affirmation of Faith        The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic* church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection

of the body; and the life everlasting.  AMEN.                                                 *universal

* Prayer of Invocation

* Hymn of Adoration         All the Way My Savior Leads Me        Red Book # 680

Invitation to Confession

Admitting Our Sin to God

Lord of power and grace, God of strength and compassion, we Your people stand in need of Your continuing presence. We confess that You have never deserted us, but we have put distance between ourselves and You. Our acts have offended Your holiness; our thoughts are often unworthy in Your sight and our words filthy noise in Your hearing. We flee responsibility and cling desperately to matters of the moment. Bring all things into focus through our confession, and Your renewing Spirit. We ask in the name of Him who best knows the human heart, and died for all, even Jesus Christ.       (time of silent, personal confession)  AMEN

Prayers of the People and the Lords Prayer

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.  AMEN.

WHETHER you’re investigating the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ, looking for a church home, or have been with us for a long time – welcome! God is real, God is present, and we hope you sense and experience the grandeur of God today in this morning’s worship. Please sign the blue attendance pad and join us in the Fellowship Hall for coffee and light refreshments following the worship service.

BUILDING MAINTENANCE FUND – Thanks to all who are contributing to the Building Maintenance Fund. Since our building is no longer new, the Session has authorized the establishment of a building maintenance fund to begin preparing for expensive repairs or replacements that may be needed in the relatively near future. The Session views this fund as something people can contribute to over time, as the Lord leads them. It will help reduce the strain on our reserves when the next major item(s) need repair or replacement. Within the next few years, we know we are likely facing the replacement of two more 10 ton heat pump systems, three smaller heat pump systems, and the repair of the parking lot.

FLOWERS – If you would like to sponsor flowers for the chancel in loving memory or honor of a loved one or in honor of a special occasion, there is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board by the drinking fountain in the Narthex. Cost: $24/Sunday.
