Sharing Our Joys and Concerns

* Call to Worship

* Affirmation of Faith        “The Apostle’s Creed”

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic* church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  AMEN.                                          *universal

* Prayer of Invocation

* Hymn of Adoration         “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name”       Red Book # 43

Invitation to Confession

Admitting Our Sin to God

Almighty and most merciful Father; we have erred and strayed from Your ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against Your holy laws. We have left undone things which we ought to have done; and done those things which we ought not to have done; and there is no health in us. Have mercy upon us, repeat offenders. Spare those, O God, who confess their faults. Restore those who are penitent; according to Your promises declared to all in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O merciful Father, for His sake; that we may here after live a godly, righteous, and circumspect life, to the glory of Your holy name.  (time of silent, personal confession)  AMEN

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.  AMEN.

WHETHER you’re investigating the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ, looking for a church home, or have been with us for a long time – welcome! God is real, God is present, and we hope you sense and experience the grandeur of God today in this morning’s worship. Please sign the blue attendance pad and join us in the Fellowship Hall for coffee and light refreshments following the worship service.

BUILDING MAINTENANCE FUND – Last year the Session established a Building Maintenance Fund to make payment of large repair bills easier. A hearty thanks to all who have contributed to this fund. It is deeply appreciated. The Building Maintenance Fund  along with our monthly cash flow has made the payment of the parking lot repair and seal coating possible without drawing upon other reserves. Now the fund is almost depleted. As the Lord leads, please consider contributing to the fund so we can be prepared for significant repairs.

FLOWERS – If you would like to sponsor flowers for the chancel in loving memory or honor of a loved one or in honor of a special occasion, there is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board by the drinking fountain in the Narthex. Cost: $24/Sunday.

OUR DAILY BREAD (LARGE PRINT EDITION) - Complimentary copies of Our Daily Bread for April, May, and June are located on the table in the Narthex. Many find this daily devotional aid helpful to their spiritual growth.

USHERS NEEDED – Please use the sign-up sheet on the table in the narthex to volunteer for one or more weeks. See sheet for details.

CHECK IT OUT – Please drop by the table in the narthex and browse the complimentary material, including Our Daily Bread daily devotionals. You are welcome to pick up a copy of any or all these items for friends and family as well as to use personally.

The time to live for Jesus is now.
