Sharing Our Joys and Concerns

* Call to Worship

The LORD says: “I have called you in righteousness; I have taken you by the hand and kept you.

I have given you as a covenant to the people, a light to the nations. My glory I give to no other.

Sing to the Lord; sing God’s praises to the end of the earth!

* Affirmation of Faith        The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  AMEN.

Invitation to Confession

Admitting Our Sin to God

Almighty God: in Jesus Christ You have called us to be a servant people, but we do not do what You command. We are often silent when we should speak, and utterly useless when we could be useful. We are lazy servants, timid and heartless, seeking our own comfort and position, ignoring those in need, turning neighbors away from Your love. Have mercy on us, O God, and, though we do not deserve Your care, forgive us and help us to live free from sin. for the sake of Jesus Christ our Redeemer and Lord.  (silent, personal confession)  AMEN

The Sacrament of the Lords Supper

The Lord be with you. And also with you.

Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

It is right to give our thanks and praise.

. . .

. . . and lift our voices in joyful praise: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

. . .

. . . and give You glory through Your son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ, in unity with the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor are Yours, almighty God, forever and ever.   Amen.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:  For Thine is the kingdom, and the

power, and the glory, for ever.  AMEN.
