Sharing Our Joys and Concerns

* Call to Worship

* Affirmation of Faith        “The Apostle’s Creed”

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  AMEN.

* Prayer of Invocation

* Hymn of Adoration                   “All, Glory, Laud and Honor”           Red Book # 300

Invitation to Confession

Admitting Our Sin to God

Lord of all that is seen and unseen, You have given us much. We have given little in return. At times we have sought to earn Your favor instead of accepting it by trusting Jesus. At other times we have been indifferent. Our thoughts and attitudes, our words and deeds all show us to be sinners, unworthy of Your love and concern. These things we confess to You trusting only in Your promise of forgiveness and renewal through the work of Jesus Christ. Revive and restore us, O God, that we may again know the joy of Thy salvation. Through Jesus Christ our Lord.    (silent, personal confession)  AMEN

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

It is right to give our thanks and praise.

. . . and lift our voices in joyful praise: The people sing or say: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

. . . and give You glory through Your son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ, in unity with the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor are Yours, almighty God, forever and ever.   Amen.

TODAY - We will celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. In the Presbyterian Church (USA), all who sincerely trust in Jesus Christ and Him alone for the forgiveness of sin are invited to the Lord’s table, including baptized children with parental permission.
