* Call to Worship   adapted from Psalm 150   (Read responsive)

Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary!  Praise Him in His mighty heavens!

Praise Him for His mighty deeds!  Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!

Praise Him with trumpet sound!    Praise Him with lute and harp!

Praise Him with  tambourine and dance!   Praise Him with  strings and  pipe!

Praise Him with sounding  cymbals;  Praise Him with loud clashing cymbals!

Let  everything that has breath praise the Lord!  Praise the Lord!

* Affirmation of Faith        The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic* church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  AMEN.                                              *universal

* Prayer of Invocation

* Hymn of Adoration                  All, Glory, Laud and Honor           Red Book # 300

Invitation to Confession

Admitting Our Sin to God

Eternal God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we praise You for everything You have done in Him for humankind. Have pity on our feeble efforts to make our lives match our beliefs. We are ashamed of our sin and failure of will. Forgive us, we pray. Make us determined to try again to live up to Your expectations for us. May the life and words of Jesus become the measure by which we assess each day's events and opportunities. Strengthen our intention to live responsibly in today's warring, anguished, and frustrating world. May the meeting of our minds here, and our attempts to help each other to be obedient to Your word make a place where we all find it easier to know Jesus and to trust in Him. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. (personal confession)  AMEN

The Lord be with you. And also with you.

Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.  It is right to give our thanks and praise.

. . . and lift our voices in joyful praise:

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

. . . and give You glory through Your son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ, in unity with the Holy Spirit, all glory

and honor are Yours, almighty God, forever and ever.   Amen.

God is real, God is present, and we hope you sense and experience the grandeur of God today in this morning’s worship. Please sign the blue attendance pad and join us in the Fellowship Hall for coffee and light refreshments following the worship service.

TODAY - We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper. In the Presbyterian Church (USA), all who sincerely trust in Jesus Christ and Him alone, for the forgiveness of sin, are invited to partake, including baptized children with parental permission.

We owed a debt we couldn't pay; Jesus paid a debt He didn't owe.
